I'll be streaming for 160 out of the 168 hour race coming up.

" He would've came in first easily if he had even average drop luck on maps. His group was killing mobs literally 5 times faster than the other top group. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" That's good to hear. Good luck Mordred! |

Make sure that you get up and move around a little bit every once in a while. You don't want to end up as that kid that played D3 for 18 hours straight without moving and then died when he stood up.
Good luck! Boulder bros

Kinda funny thread. Staying awake for 100 hours while playing is doable. Another 60 hours after only 8 hours of sleep is pushing it. Last 20-30 hours in the second session will probably be really hard.
That being said there are much more efficient ways to do this, mainly: - Distribute sleep time into more blocks. If you insist to only sleep 8 hours out of 160 it would be so much better for you if you break those 8 hours into 3 or 4 shorter sleeping sessions. - When you are sleep deprived your efficiency and focus go way down. I assume that your goal is to get high up on the ladder? Thus, sleeping more than 8 hours is actually going to help you get more XP because you will be more efficient when awake and playing with more sleep (even though you will play less time overall). It depends on your play style but you could safely double your sleep time and still get better results. Now what bothers me about your attitude is that on one hand you have people taking care of you in RL (checking in on you, making food for you etc...) and yet you considered driving your GF on a bike after not sleeping for days on end. Real life is like playing a game on hardcore. Once mistake and you are done or damaged for life. You may think you know your limits but trust me, driving while being seriously sleep deprived is worse than driving while being drunk. PS: Good luck and as others mentioned drink a lot of water and stand up and exercise every few hours. |

I'm very glad you decided on not driving, it really is as bad as drunk driving. Other than that I don't really see any problems with this (although I'd never try it myself) as long as you don't just sit on your arse for 100 hours straight (blood flow is good). And do eat and drink as normal, which you seem to have covered.
Good luck! |

Streamer: "Guys one sec." (His head is lowered a bit and a loud snort is heard) Viewers: "Did he just snort something?" Streamer: HELLLL YEAH BUDDY WOOHOOO LETS GO ANOTHER 10 HOURS!!! GL with 160 hours of straight gaming. I find it beyond stupid. |

I don't think people like MrMordred realize how little chance he has of finishing the race well with his type of plan.
People die in droves in the longer hardcore races due to lack of concentration stemming from lack of sleep. You can be assured that you will not finish well in the race for several reasons: 1. You don't have end game map experience. Maybe you do but it seems your highest char is 63. You don't have the map spamming experience. 2. You will die due to lack of sleep. It happened to many top twenty and ten players. It happened to me in the last 1 week race on the last day and that was with 4 hours of sleep into a 20 hour session. It takes only one single bad decision or slow reaction and you are dead. 3. You aren't doing this race for the right reasons. You aren't doing this to race, you are just doing this to play while sleep deprived. You have no plan other than to play with no sleep. I see no good reason to do this type of race unless you plan to do the best you can. Doing it with no sleep is not planning to do the best you can. You will die and your lack of experience will be one the top reasons. At some point you will be in auto pilot and in the zone because of the lack of sleep. What keeps some top players alive who lack sleep is that they are so experienced and know maps so well, that they don't have to think about what to do in every single unusual situation with every single mob and mob modifier combos in maps because they've experienced it. If you don't have the experience, you need to be more alert so that you can react. You will die. Good luck. "Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference." — Mark Twain

I"m building a 100% HP/Armor/Res Character, spamming taunts and dropping double decoy totems :) I shouldn't die too easily. Going to be the protector, mostly spamming lower level maps :) After looking at exp averages, I should be able to play it safe and stay at level 64 and under maps relatively safely with -very- little chance of dying, even if I microsleep for 10 seconds.
