game mechanics question

If i have chaos inoculation and ghost reaver passive and try to life steal or life gain on hit do i restore energy to my shield? becouse i heard it restores 20% hp and scince i only have 1 hp it wouldn't get anything back...Also whith chaos inoculation and a skill like purity and clarity linked to a blood magic gem i wouldn't have to reserve any mana for the skill would i?

With Ghost Reaver, it considers your Energy Shield to be your health pool, so any leech is limited to 20% of your max Energy Shield per second.

If you link blood magic to an aura, it will try to reserve HP, but since you don't have enough HP, you won't be able to cast it. With CI, you cannot cast anything with blood magic.
