Beta Invite Timer

Is the purpose of giving Beta keys away to increase the number of people playing CB and to increase the popularity of POE? It looks to me as though a great deal of the recipients haven't logged in for many months. Is there a simple way of narrowing the pool to members that are active and willing to be part of discussions? I know OB is nearing quickly... What do others think?

There are way more people who signed up but don't post on the forums (which is the only part that requires logging in) than forum users. This doesn't mean though that they aren't lurking, have lost interest or won't come back once they receive the "welcome to the beta" email. Since those accounts are the majority, they get picked more often (yes, even with 1 post = 10x the chance) because the timer chooses randomly from all accounts. Some people have to wait months, others get access within 24 hours. That's just how a random selection works. Best of luck to you and may the timer pick you, soon. :-)
