RoS is #3 on twitch right now and the game looks very very promising.

The gameplay is very smooth (something that poe hasnt managed to do in years).

And the new game mode looks fun, too.

The gameplay was never the problem, I dare say it was the best thing of D3. But D3 does nothing to cater to theorycrafters, or in others words: giving that superficial arcade game some depth.

I will probably check out the new Loot 2.0 thing when it goes live but given that there still isn't a skill system and skill damage is still derived from weapon damage I doubt that the game will be any better for me.

But good for you if you're hyped. Gl in getting a beta key. :)

I think this is what keeps me from playing it - Diablo 2 had an incredible amount of possibilities regarding character creation - I really liked trying more exotic builds, make them HC viable and so on.
I only ever tried D3 beta and watched some videos on youtube, but I never felt that it has these endless possibilities - Also (and I know I could always just start a new character) I don't think very highly of respec possiblities...

PoE has its flaws, as has D3, both games have their strengths - I just think, I can put up with PoEs weaknesses much better than with D3s

because whole endgame is randomly generated already.. while they said they would like to redone all acts for campaign mode, it's not huge priority right now..because..well..everyone will play randomly generated location anyway... Rifts in this case..

However... RoS looks really interesting.
