General Discussion - Received a "Welcome to the beta" email -- no access to the installer or Closed Beta forum - Forum

I don't think the email was fake, the headers look legit to me. Although I do think I've pieced this together. It looks like the system allowed me to register twice with the same email address. A quick search through my mail account, turned this up Jan 24 2011: " Thankyou for creating an account with Path of Exile Account name: bloodfeast An account was previously created using this email address but was not activated. Activating this account will overwrite the previously created account. You must activate this account by visiting the following URL http://www.pathofexile.com/account/verify/<redacted> The invite email I received references an account name other than "Bloodfeast". So while the email is legit, an account that was supposed to have been overwritten (but is still apparently associated with my email address) was given beta access. Sounds like a bug to me. oh... come on... this is just not right... but the mails that your showing, are only a forum acc, not the beta, to get in to beta, you have to be lucky...
