Strange bluriness on health/mana globes/hotkey bar

I just gave a friend a beta key last night... he installed the game fine, game runs fine, but for some strange reason his UI bar and health globes are all pixelated and blurry.
He has a fairly recent PC with decent specs, so I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with his PC.  Any ideas what may be causing this? Turns out he was trying to force GPU settings on the game.. I suggested this to him, but he missed the setting. All fixed now! For future reference; Let applications determine graphics settings in your video card's utility. Never wrestle with a pig. You may be correct, I'm re-installing as we speak, I set my driver to defaults already.
