as people have stated you just select the item in question with your cursor and type /itemlevel.
I don't see why there needs to be a short cut, but i guess a short cut wouldn't hurt anything either O.o sounds like a low priority addition though. In my opinion, item level should be displayed in the item description / hover text so that it can be seen easily, and more importantly linked in chat.
The trade value of many items, especially uniques, depends a lot on item level since it determines the number of available sockets. And right now there is no way to know what you are buying. Last edited by ptt_frmr on Dec 12, 2012, 2:10:53 AM

forget this post, it was witty and clever but the forum freaked out the second it hit a square bracket and the entire post was lost.
