Root of the Problem bugged!

So I killed the spider and got the quest item to open the vines for the Root of the Problem quest, but the door to the zone will still not open. I tried dropping the item on the ground, the quest log updates and tells me to get the item, than I pick it back up and it tells me to find a way into the ruins again, and still does not work. Not sure what else to try, I tried restarting the client and resetting the instance

I too have this problem. could it be we are too low a level? I am currently lvl 25.

You also need the balefull gem from the third level of de chamber of sin.
