Alira still alive

I'm not sure whether or not this is a bug, but I went through the Alira quest and chose to kill her. I did manage to kill her and get her amulet. Later after returning to the forest headquarters and using the waypoint to return to the spot near her camp, I found that she was still alive and it allowed me to fight her again. Shouldn't she remain dead, so to speak?

If boss death were permanent, you would never be able to fight them again, and you wouldn't be able to group with anyone on a different quest step and still complete that quest.
