You killed a copy of yourself, so you could loot an entire additional armor set instead of copying just a single item with a mirror? Smart.

Not as easier as you would think since the copy would be as strong as the original.
Research can't start without a thought process. Listing and organizing is important, but to make it worthwhile to oneself requires thought.

It's more likely that one of the copies survived and that the original died.
