Rushing in order to avoid over-level drop penalties

I've just checked with Carl.
Fro overleveling an area, there is a currency penalty, which has already been discussed. There are no other drop penalties, such as to item quantity or rarity.

There's also and experience penalty, but that's not really what's being asked about in this thread.

Why is that necessary in a game like this?
Because a high-level character can kill monsters really, really fast in low-level areas, and thus without a penalty to currency drops, that would be the best way to play the game in order to far currency.
