Could You Tell Me If Rebuke of Vaal is Any Good

I just got this, can you tell me whether it's any good. It does about 1/3 of the damage that my modestly equipped facebreaker does. I just realized that I have about 3 level 60 characters with full respects available and wanted to know if I should make an all out Rebuke of Vaal build or not.

no, nothing build-enabling and many decent tri-ele rare 1handers smash it. ok if you got nothing better, kinda like an avo sword.

I haven't used it but heard it wasn't that strong.

If thats the case then its an extremely poorly designed unique. Nothing very unique about it AND underpowered. No idea what the point was.

The only thing I can see is that if you dual wield and crit you will likely burn freeze and shock all at once, but then again I can do that already with my dualist

Hence why I said "nothing very unique".

I already knew that but its not enough to really set it apart and make people want to use it. Why sacrifice a sword with a lot more DPS on it for something that's a lot less powerful? Just because it has some chaos damage?

If I had two of em and a free respec I'd try this:

- Dual wield two Rebuke of Vaal's with good roll (IAS goes to 20%)
- 5 or 6 link Carcass Jack with this: Cyclone, Concentrated Effect, Added Chaos dmg, Added Fire dmg, Blind, Chance to Flee
- 2x Blackheart Iron Rings just to go with the theme

Tons of deeps
75% chance to avoid getting shocked (I hate shock)
15% chance to avoid getting chilled, frozen, ignited
30% chance to avoid getting stunned
86% total increase to life (could be 108% if you go to level 84)

Rebuke of the Vaal is a really nice sword that isn't too expensive. It's a good weapon to choose if you can't afford a multi-ex weapon.

It also is relatively non-susceptible to reflect, since it has a good mix of ele and phys dmg, and even some chaos dmg.

It's hard to make a build around it though; almost all high-end rares will give better dps.

Since when is 100%+ to life bad?
Also take into account the 47% block which adds a lot of effective HP.
