Normal > Cruel > Ruthless > Merciless > Unannounced V V V V V Normal > Soldier > Warrior > Slayer > Exile IMO, ruthless, cruel, and merciless all sound equally hard, therefore they become confusing when trying to associate them with the appropriate difficulties...
