Marauder. Help

Hello guys, i hope you can help me a bit.
(sorry for my bad english)
Im playing Marauder(lvl 44) and i want to know some tipps how i could play him.
Sometimes i have big troubles to fight against easy minions, because im dropping low very early. My Dmg is ok, but not good enough to jump in, without dropping low. I'm playing with two handed Mace at the moment. Main skills are glacial hammer, sweep and other meele hits. my tree is focused on strenght and main dmg to two handed weapons.
