Says Connecting then it says unable to connect to patching server...... any idea?

So what do I do? How do I check my ping? Do I need to contact my ISP or reset my modem?

Resetting the router/modem is the easiest thing to try, if you still get a problem after trying it use WinMTR as the guide here says : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/361292
