For single target I recommend bear trap linked with added fire damage. Sill use it in maps for elites and bosses.

what's the tree progression like after the 98-point build?

What support gems are good for ethernal knives on lower levels? Like normal, cruel~ ?

Ive played this build to lvl51 and so far it has performed excellently. The tankiness is astounding and is actually better than on my Templar specced towards tanky.

I link mine with mine (in cruel) EK- Faster Proj. - IIQ - Fork. Fork can be swapped out for Added Fire/Cold Damage but I use hatred so I usually leave it on fork. I'm looking for a 4l g/g/g/g piece so i can replace IIQ with mana leech.

I'm also wondering this. I've been using enfeeble to play towards the tanky side of the build, but I'm curious about offensive curses.

use vulnerability. if you use a koam's and 6l staff, projectile weakness since no more bear traps :(
