Season Three, Event 119: 5 Hour Cutthroat Party

This league has Cutthroat and Hardcore enabled, when you die to enemies of any type you will be moved to Standard league.

A summary of hardcore Cutthroat rules:
  • This is a separate short-duration league that has its own stash (as usual). At the end of the event, characters and stashed items will be moved to Hardcore.
  • There's a PvP damage multiplier because players start with a lot more life than they do damage. This multiplier will be adjusted substantially based on feedback from this event and others.
  • Players are hostile by default to players who are not in their party.
  • You can ctrl+click on the entrance to an area to use the Instance Management screen to manually enter any other player's instance of an area.
  • Cut-throat instances can hold a maximum of 12 players.
  • This is a hardcore league. When you die, you will be moved to standard league, you lose the normal experience penalty for your difficulty plus 30% of your current level. You also drop all inventory and equipped items. Your flasks, skill gems (even ones in your inventory) and quest items are not dropped.
  • If you were killed by another player, your lost experience is split among their party.
  • If you attempt to abruptly leave the game in a non-town instance, you have to wait 5 seconds and are unable to move or use flasks.
  • The grace period of invulnerability upon entering an area is 20 seconds. This should start once the player is mostly done loading.
  • Non-partied players only show up on the map if they're nearby.
  • There are no notifications for players joining or leaving areas.
  • Portals cannot be used until they have been up for five seconds.
  • You cannot apply microtransaction effects to items in cut-throat. You may dance and have pets.

5 hours of pvp action, dying constantly, and murdering low levels. Can't come soon enough :)

Will there be any more races added on after this for season 3?
I've seen them... and they've seen me.
This will be the most fun I have had in a video game for some time! I can't wait to invade some instances and rain some destruction. All at the same time having everyone trying to end myself as well! Good luck everybody, this event couldn't come any sooner!!!
The only 8-5 worker-friendly event for those of us in the U.S. East for four days, and it's cutthroat. Please GGG, make Season 4 a bit more compatible for U.S. Easters with a 40-hour workweek. We've really taken a beating this go-round.

Play with honour and show some class - www.theAmazonBasin.com
Zarabeth - Level 89 Ranger
Wicked Wanda - Level 87 Witch
Xarabeth - Level 79 Scion
This is a great event, for the first two hours.

Past that it's the leading party slaughtering anyone coming close to them, the last 3 hour Cut throat was nothingness for an hour and a half.
Arg, what the hell!? I can't see this on the character creation screen!

Edit: I cannot join this event, the game won't let me!

Edit: Noooo! Let me iiiinnnnn!

Edit: Alternatively, the website could be showing me the wrong event has started -.-

I predict this gonna suck hard after 2-3 hours in.
Should've been SC cuz 5hours is way too long and 1 or possibly 2 parties gonna be so far ahead that they would destroy anyone they want.

And ofc its at a freakin ideal time for EU once more. Goddamn scheduling...
