g...h...i.... .9.12 coming to alpha soon?

Usually when the mini patches hit this part of the alphabet, the next big patch is right around the corner. Any hints on dates or content?

I thought I heard/read "Duel PvP" was going to be in this patch?

When it's ready basically. The last major patch was behind schedule so it is hard to guess exactly when the next one will come out.

I hope they carefully take their time with minions/PvP patch. (That's this one right?)

Better done right once (with some small fix it patches), then several large overhauls.

consider that cut-throat is being used as a testing ground for pvp. You can expect quite a few more weeks of tweaking and of testing before 9.12

That is, of course, my opinion and does not reflect GGG in any shape.

I am very excited as well, but we probably need more patient. And I prefer they fix most of the bugs first, rather than creating more (boss bugs, map bugs, crashing, and etc.).

I hope they can have a Cut-Throat league and progress it by 2 Acts every week (cap level), so we can test our builds in later stages. That would be a good start for balancing, I suppose.
