Disconnected in Hardcore then reconnected in Default?

So I was clearing Chamber of Sins with a few of my buddies in Hardcore and we got overran. We were forced to TP out to survive, but when I entered the TP I got disconnected to the login screen. When I logged back in I couldn't party back up with my friends because I somehow got switched to the Default League.

I did not die and I have no idea why I got switched over.

I'm really hoping that a Dev could understand my problem here and switch me back to the Hardcore league so I can play with my friends once again.
