Correct. Quantity from gear or support gems has not affected map drop rate for like 8 months now. Having more people in your party also does not affect map drops.

The only thing that increases map drop rate is being in a map (better drop rate than outside of maps) and the Quantity increases on the map itself, not from gear/support gems.
