Game crash [new to me]

So, been playing the game for a week or so. until the patch today I have experienced 0 crashes.

Since the patch, I have had 5-6 crashes in as many hours.
So far the crashes have ONLY happened when I zone in to a new area or when I encounter the first set of mobs in a new area.
Today is also the first day that I have engaged in group play, I do not know if that is a factor or not.
Not all crashes have been during group play.

Windows xp64
Nvidia 8800 graphics card
8 gigs ram

At least one time that it crashed today, my system said it ran out of ram and was allocating more virtual ram.

If I get more information I'll post it in this thread.

Update:

Deleted my documents/my games/path of exile/mipmap

Problem persists

May not be as frequent as before, still to early to say for sure.
