Mass Effect 3 is hard to beat for me, excluding the ending, and maybe the other sidegame junk.

D2 and Starcraft are pretty nostalgic for me, but so are Fallout 1 and 2.

I think Gothic I and II allways will be my favorite games. It's been a long time since I last played it, but I spent a lot of time with them and I have great nostalgia. However, if I had to list my recently favorite games, it would be Overwatch, WoW, LEGO series, as well as Super Smash Flash 2 and Fireboy and Watergirl which I play with my son :)

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night first comes to mind. Why? In a word: Everything. It didn't really have anything I didn't like in there, whereas lots of other games have some things I thought were done well, others that weren't. With SotN, I liked the whole shebang.
