Very worried. Supporter unable to play after this long wait? Devs?

I'm not refunding, but I take it there's nothing else to be done then?

Do you have Vsync enabled? If you press F1, what FPS are you getting?

It's crashed with and without vsync enabled. Frames are healthy. Very healthy.

Also, see the post above mine for yet another crash. Screen went all nuts then crashed to desktop. Again. lol

I wouldn't be upset if the more intensive games (Battlefield 3 and Skyrim) had the same issues. But they don't. They work like a charm.

What FPS are you getting with Vsync on and off? Numbers please.

Also, have you tried the latest beta nVidia drivers? (304.79)

Can you check what temperatures your GPU is reaching whe you play?
Code warrior
One moment. Let me log back in.

Vsync off:

FPS: 125-143

Vsync on:

FPS: 63-67

GPU: 49-54 celcius

Is that the GPU temp when it crashed? Was vsync on at the time?

Have you tried the beta drivers yet?
Code warrior
I'm not quite sure what the temp is when it crashes. Could there be an issue with GPU allocation or something? I mean, Skyrim and Battlefield run at a cool 55 celsius. Can't imagine little old POE being that intensive.

I've tried BETA drivers in the past. This issue is going on 2 months old now, so I've tried all kinds. I can give it a shot, though.

I'll also let you know what my temp is when it crashes.

I have also applied the --nosound "fix, and DL'd RealTek drivers.

At this point I'm exhausting EVERYTHING! hah.

Path of Exile is still in beta, and hasn't been optimized to the extent that other games such as Skyrim and Battlefield have.

Also, nVidia released new beta drivers in both June and July of this year. May as well give them a try.

[Edit] Also it seems weird to me that with Vsync enabled your FPS doesn't hover around 60, but a bit higher. Is your nVidia Control Panel overriding any settings? Make sure all graphics settings are set to application-controlled.

Try this thread.

Basically do not update nvidia drivers with windows update. And if you are using a gaming laptop, try the laptops website.

Edit also this: http://www.nvlddmkm.com/
Kick Ass and Chew Bubblegum - That's nature for you.
Played last night with no crashes for 1hr 10min after applying nosound fix amd DLing RealTek drivers. Not out of the water yet Ill play for a couple hours tonight and see.

Ill also check the nVidia control panel settings. The fps with vsync was hovering around 60.

59-63

I'm determined to get this fixed. There's got to be a reason that one of us here can pinpoint and rectify. I just don't see this as being an ever elusive issue that none of us pin down and fix.
