char name restriction

is there some automatic restriction on names?

if the char's name contains the sequence "ffi" it is not displayed (the sequence is cut out of the name) in the char selection menu in the staring screen and in other edit fields ingame, for example the social panel message edit field.

There seems to be a problem with the font to display the name - some ligatures as "ff" or "ffi" are not correctly shown.
There was a post about that, but I didn't find it about the search.
