Good lord just stop trying to play god and let the fates decide when to bless you with a 6 or 5 link. I only have 3 link so far and im like fucking cooool

More like I have no idea how you people get so many orbs of fusings to even attempt a 6L.

Haha there is no secret. Playing more automatically means more efficient farming, because your gear gets better so you farm more efficiently and loot better gear which lets you farm more efficiently and loot better gear which lets you farm more efficiently and loot better gear etc etc etc.

1. MF Gear: for orbs farming, stack as much quantity as you can, 100% is a good amount to have without sacrificing too much important stat

2. Kill speed: Obviously as high dps as possible. 1 Good AOE attack that can kill white trash mobs in 1-2 hit. 1 Good single target skill that can kill rare in 2-3 shot.

3. Run speed: Minimum: 30% MS boots, grab a couple 3-4% MS passive or Armour Mastery if needed. Use Phase Run + Faster Cast whenever possible

4. Learn your item name: Know which base item name you will need. Scan item drop quickly and identify valuable pickup

5. Selective pickup: Pick what you absolutely need to your inventory. If you see a rare item with base name of lvl 40 in a lvl 60 zone (see 4.), pass it. If you have too much Chromatic Orb, that 2H axe with RGB linked socket is probably not worth your inventory slot. So on and so fourth.

6. Skill: Do all of the above as fast as possible, saving as much time as possible while still staying alive when farming.
