Early on marauders may miss a lot, especially if you didn;t invest in any dex/accuracy passives. Later on he will catch up.
Resolute technique is good, easily accessible but has one major flaw: lack of critical hits.

First, critical strikes aren't missed here. I found that missing my swings/abilities and not having them return life crippled me. I appreciate never missing.

My current progress is Merciless on hardcore:

I am currently using a sword and shield because of the high melee damage in act 1.

I noticed in act 2 ruthless that damage spiked severely. I took that as a sign that I may need to change some things until I get some rather "strong" gear. I have 2 unique pieces equipped "Windscream Reinforced Greaves" and "Deshret's Vise Steel Gauntlets". These are incredible items, but until I get rares like them or better I feel like I am WAY to squishy for a high survival rate. I'll update my sword and board build as time goes on, right now my passive tree has literally almost every HP,Armor, and Res node from my original build taken.

Ah well, I'll update you all with my progress later.

Some passive skills have 2 mods. One that increase Damage and one that increase accuracy. 2 birds with one stone.
Invest in some +30 dex nodes.
Get weapons with +Accuracy.

Like I've said, resolute is great, but you can no longer crit and there's a bunch of +strength node to reach resolute technique if you want the shortest way.

I agree with you on the down side of resolute and I'd much prefer not to use it. It's too cookie-cutter for my personally taste as well.

I'll take your advice and see how it goes.

Very good set up. But isn't the normal 200DPS too low for merciless? I'll update later what is my cruel DPS.
Don't forget to invest in resists and shield block.

It is rather low, I unfortunately haven't found a decent one hand weapon, also I think I plan to switch back to a 2h mace build. I'm having significant troubles finding weapons, like major troubles.

If anyone has a higher level (45+) 1h mace, or 2h mace for sale on the HC league I'd love them.
