Fire spells

I use fireball and rain of fire (I think that's the name)

I have a few times seen where I am blasting away at an enemy with fireball and is not hitting. There is no object in the way there is no corner blocking it. I thought it might be out of sync where the monster isn't realy there but then I switch to rain of fire and it starts taking damage.

This has happened to me as well (with fireball), but I usually switch to ice nova and charge near the enemy and/or cast minions around them which fixes the 'problem' :).
