Wouldn't it be great...

...if the passive skill tree had 10 times more game changing nodes? You see people love Blood Magic, Chaos Inoculation or EE for a reason. Just blow our mind with a lot more Please. There is way too much of the same and...well you get it.

...if leveling gems had a real purpose. Atm they might as well just scale with our stats. A mini tree of specialisation? Hell yes! A few exemple on top of my head?
_Glacial Hammer first tier: when shattered, close enemies as chilled for a short duration Or Enemies hit see their armour reduce by x% Or hit more enemy close to the target.
_Decoy totem: increase totem life by %of your life Or enemy hitting the totem have a chance to get stunned (or to lose resist idk).
_Wrath: Give you a chance to instantly counter attack when hit for x% dmg Or Your attacks have a chance to trigger a lightning arc, damaging nearby enemies.
Elemental Proliferation: Increase the status effect duration Or idk
Culling Strike: Enemies die when they are reduced to 15% or less life (up from 10%) but does only affect normal mobs.
And an other on deep in one of the trees could be: Expand the effect to the whole character but add a cooldown or other draw back maybe

You get the idea.

I don't know just add real depth to the customisation and use your gem combo mechanics to their fullest. See thing in bigger please.

bonus:
(...if there was a gem vendor?)
(...if their was a separated reagent bag/inventory?)
(...if mods only modifying the current item was not mixed in the tooltip with the ones affecting the entire character?)
(...if we could put gems of any color on any slot, having a bonus or extra effect only if matching colors?)

My two cents, please take it in consideration even if it comes like a rant/taunt post (which was intended like that in the beginning only for the sake of being succinct and because of my average english:)

developing and balance tons more Keystones is going to take lot of time that I think could be better used elsewhere (like Act 3)

There have been thread on gem leveling, I don't know what they came up with but I think the customization is designed for the support gems. I don't have any problem with gem leveling right now.

I think a Gem Vendor would make it too easy to get gems. I have plenty of gems just playing the game.

It would be nice to have a extra stash pane that stored a stack of each orb.

i dont know the game gets boring fast. There is just not enough rpg element imo.
