Dear,
The GetSystemCpuSetInformation function is not part of KERNEL32.dll of Windows 7, as mnieradko wrote. Microsoft writes: Minimum supported client: Windows 10 (external link) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/processthreadsapi/nf-processthreadsapi-getsystemcpusetinformation The GetSystemCpuSetInformation returns the SYSTEM_CPU_SET_INFORMATION structure. In the SYSTEM_CPU_SET_INFORMATION structure is a SchedulingClass. (external link) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/winnt/ns-winnt-system_cpu_set_information Maybe GGG uses the SchedulingClass for a performance ranking of cores to give the fastest cores the highest load. Like this guy here: (external link) https://stackoverflow.com/questions/75755496/meaning-of-schedulingclass-in-system-cpu-set-information# Or GGG uses the SYSTEM_CPU_SET_INFORMATION for something else, I am not an expert. Maybe GGG can skip this for Windows 7 and Windows 8. |

Steam lists POE1 as having minimum OS requirement of windows 10. I recall some time in the past it was windows 7. Not sure when this was changed or when it will be made "official". The league launch live thread specifies they are aware of this issue, so I will assume for now that windows 7 support is NOT dead for POE1.

I am having the same problem...this is the error it gives.
"The procedure entry point GetSystemCpuSetInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll" It worked fine yesterday and all week, now all of a sudden new league and it gives this error. Is there a work around or a fix? btw...I use Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit Operating System. Last edited by Sandwich96#1928 on Oct 31, 2025, 6:58:52 PM

This isn't the first time this issue has surfaced in updating of POE1, and googling reveals some older "fixes" to get around it by playing around with renaming/deleting of certain files in the POE folder. Those fixes didn't work for me. GGG has been implicitly (not explicitly declaring it I think) pushing to phase out windows 7 compatibility in POE1, so let's see if we get an actual "fix" update soonish. Otherwise, I'm going to have to shell out thousands of dollars in a new PC.
