I loved me some D2 at its release. I played it for about a year. Loved every second of it. But what it ended up turning into after LoD, I cant even stomach playing it. Don't get me wrong, the expansion introduced some pretty cool things. It was the community, RMT, and all the unpunished cheating that turned the game into a steaming pile of crap. I remember when D2 came out RMT didn't really exist at that time in any major form, but now.....
I agree with this, but tbh that was more of a community issue than the game itself. From strictly a game perspective, LoD brought a number of good things to D2.

I think I finally burnt out on D2.There were some builds that I couldn't complete because the stuff was just too unusual that no one would have even for sale let alone find.
