Determination armor bonus question

Is determination's armor bonus treated same as passive ones
or is it differently applied?

ex) let just say I have 5000 armor(with grace) and 100% increased armor passive

so if I activate 20 level determination gem which gives 50% armor bonus

1. 5000+150%(100+50)= total 12500 armor
2. 5000+100%(passive)=10000(base) then aura applies +50%= total 15000 armor

which is right?

Hi there.

Not sure if this helps answer your question but I just put on a level 5 determination aura and the results are as follows:

Armor with grace and passives = 6787

Armor with grace, passives, and level 5 determination (36%) = 9909

I am not good at math or understanding what the number means really. I hope you can figure out the answer to your question with the data I supplied.

It doesn't help unless we know how much armor % you have without determination. The 36% goes toward the passive armor %. So without that number all the information you provided is not going to help.
6787 * 0.36 = 2443 (rounded)
2443 + 6787 = 9230 != 9909 where is the other 679 armor?
At least that's how I suspect it works. That'd make sense.
Stay awhile and listen...

Ah, ok. I have 32% increased armor and evasion rating from passives. I hope that helps.

Answer 2 is the correct one.

Determination is "more" defense, so it's multiplicative, not additive.
