Season Two, Event 174: 1 Hour BLAMT Cutthroat Party

This event has the Blood Magic, Lethal, Ancestral, Multiprojectiles, Turbo mods.

This league has Cutthroat and Hardcore enabled, when you die to enemies of any type you will be moved to Default league.

A summary of hardcore Cutthroat rules:
  • This is a separate short-duration league that has its own stash (as usual). At the end of the event, characters and stashed items will be moved to Hardcore.
  • There's a PvP damage multiplier because players start with a lot more life than they do damage. This multiplier will be adjusted substantially based on feedback from this event and others.
  • Players are hostile by default to players who are not in their party.
  • You can ctrl+click on the entrance to an area to use the Instance Management screen to manually enter any other player's instance of an area.
  • Cut-throat instances can hold a maximum of 12 players.
  • This is a hardcore league. When you die, you will be moved to default league, you lose the normal experience penalty for your difficulty plus 30% of your current level. You also drop all inventory and equipped items. Your flasks, skill gems (even ones in your inventory) and quest items are not dropped.
  • If you were killed by another player, your lost experience is split among their party.
  • If you attempt to abruptly leave the game in a non-town instance, you have to wait 5 seconds and are unable to move or use flasks.
  • The grace period of invulnerability upon entering an area is 20 seconds. This should start once the player is mostly done loading.
  • Non-partied players only show up on the map if they're nearby.
  • There are no notifications for players joining or leaving areas.
  • Portals cannot be used until they have been up for five seconds.
  • You cannot apply microtransaction effects to items in cut-throat. You may dance and have pets.

omfg this sounds like fun just for the hell of trying it.

Can we have this + the same solo once per week every season? Prettyplease.

1 hour sounds great, i imagine it would be pretty exhausting for serious racing otherwise ;-)

Safety in numbers! So if anyone is searching for a party for this race or any other and you are able to come on Teamspeak, then contact me.

We're just going to focus on having fun for this race, doesn't really matter how far we get just as long as we have fun doing it.

HardcoreA character killed in Hardcore is moved to its parent league.

Harsh death experience penalty. Increases the death experience penalty by 30% on all difficulty levels.

These two statements seem to contradict each other.
The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300.
Hi GGG, my friend noticed something very broken with these BLAMT races.

There is a bloke named TheTrueYako who created scores of characters in

- 1 Hr BLAMT CT Party (S02E169) - 22 characters made
- 1 Hour BLAMT Party (S02E170) - 21 characters made

The strategy here is to choose melee classes (as they are the least played) and get around 250 XP for each character then log into the next one repeating this until the race ends. With multiple placings in the top 10-20 and each of these characters counting he is able to get the following RPs in this one race:

Breaking down 1 Hour BLAMT Party (S02E170):

- Duelist - 7 in Top 20 for 9 RPs
- Marauders - 3 in Top 20 for 5 RPs
- Shadows - 6 in Top 20 for 6 RPs
- Templars - 4 in Top 20 for 4 RPs

24 RPs total. For one race.

Is this working as intended?

If you are good and smart enough to put multiple chars in top 20 why then GGG should stop you?

I thought you could only get points for the top character per race?
