AoE scaling on Blast Rain of Trarthus bugged
No matter how much increased aoe I get for the skill both the initial arrow and the wave remain the same size.

Seems kind of silly to add this kind of mod and then not have it work with a skill that can ONLY fire 1 arrow and has an 'AoE' tag ![]() |

My assumption is the AoE scales the impact area, not the wave. The description states area damage on impact, then the wave. Which means they are acting as 2 separate skills in one like many other skills. Same way the impact requires accuracy but the wave does not. Same way Concentrated Effect doesn't scale the wave DPS or size. Conc probably does effect the impact hit, but not the purpose.
Most likely intentional, but really needs the same line as Katabasis that AoE doesn't scale the wave for more clarity if true. |

" The Gem itself says 'Base Radius is 1 Metre", as well as "Base Secondary Radius is 3.5 Metres", so it should scale with both. I do believe it is a bug, as neither are influenced by the AoE increases at all. Scaling AoE sadly does nothing...for now. Until fixed, hopefully. |

Yea this is really annoying since you can not scale the number of projectiles or AOE

" Strangely enough, the tooltip for the wave DPS is actually scaled by conc effect for whatever reason. The visual effect for the initial arrow makes it hard to tell if AoE is actually increasing the area of it or not but given the difference isn't noticeable between conc effect and running a 180% increased effect flame golem with increased AoE linked leads me to believe both parts are just bugged. | |
" Thank you for the clarification. The streamer who I saw test it did not see tooltip change when they tested it. I asked them to check again after your post and they did see tooltip change this time, so some buff or something must have fallen off at the same time or tooltip doing tooltip things. So the wave is even more like Katabasis unscaleable AoE in current state where it can use Conc for "free" damage. But we'll see if they change it functionally to scale, add the text, or leave it as is assuming the gems are removed at the end of the league. |
