How Much to donate....? =]

I am VERY PLEASED to see some NZ people make a game that is the type of Genre I was born and raised on!

Being from Christchurch NZ, aged 27, I remember fondly playing Warcraft 1 when I was a little boy and grinding many hours on my SNES RPG, followed by Diablo Dungeon Keeper, and many other great RPG games.

I was thinking the other day, how much money WoW had sucked out of me over the years, being a Guild Master in Vanilla to hard core raiding in WOTLK where I was in a top 5 Oceanic Guild that cleared all content first - second on our sever constantly. I think it has been too much! And with my my WoW annual pass to get Diablo I spent another, sadly, $77 USD.

Now I was looking at the options.. $1000 seems to much for me to spend on a game as I am not that wealthy. BUT I was thinking perhaps $250? Sure it is a bit of money, but I pretty much won that much last month at the Christchurch casino playing poker! And often I deposit $100 USD on pokerstars without a blink of an eye.

I think having my name in the credits would be awesome, even if no one ever reads them (as I never really do) but it would give me a reason to see them!

Anyways, I am going to try to get a BETA and see how muchc I like this game; and will donate accordingly

Good luck with the game! From another RPG raised man since Zelda on the NES and Warcraft 1 =]
Enjoy the carnage, enjoy the pain! It is a small price to pay for the enjoyment of a battle.
OK just donated $10 to get my beta key so will start downloading the game now and will try it out!

After about 30 hours of game play I will donate from $15 - $250 on how impressed I am.

One thing I am curious is how much have other people donated? Obviously I can see from the avatars, but would be nice to know if those who did are enjoying the game in comparrison to how much they donated?

I also think the kiwi pet is a good idea ;)

46-47 people currently are Diamond if I recall correctly.

I'm thinking about donating 250 as well, but I wont be able to till september.
Having only just seen the sexy skill system and different tiers of donations so far, I'm already certain I'll donate at least enough to get a kiwi pet. It looks so cute! Wish I had the money to do so right now, but I'll have to settle for waiting a bit. Still though, this game and the creators look more than worthy of my monay.

Oh nice, so it is still a small ammount of people, thus my name may stand out even more in the credits! haha I really like the idea of having an item modeled/named? after me, but I cant spend $1000.

If I won lotto I would donate a huge ammount and ask too make something like "The Shield of ReesThomas" haha

I also like the Idea of skill tree's, it gives players the freedom to make the char as they see fit.

Well installing now so will be playing soon =]

Open Beta starts in August sometime, so you will not be able to recieve the support titles that you see now.

There MAY be other option of donating, or there may only be cash shop purchases.

I suggest if you want a kiwi, you get it soon.

I suggest you go with a ranged class first. They are the most fun at the moment.
RIP Bolto
I have rolled a Witch as I like caster based chars. The game realy has that D2 feel, even with the inventory!

Once I get to level 20~30 I will roll a meelee class

So far so good, I am considering $100 atm but will see how end game goes once I get up there and will prob make a payment at the end of the month.

Kiwis are awesome!

Please keep in mind it's not really a donation -- you're getting the entirety of your contribution back to spend in their cash shop. Consider it a contribution or support, yes, but not really a donation. I'm fairly sure I can't claim it back as tax-deductible, at any rate. ;)
Warhammer 40k Inquisitor: where shotgunning is not only not nerfed, it is deeply encouraged.

Dogma > Souls, but they're masterworks all. You can't go wrong.

I was right about PoE2 needing to be a separate, new game. It was really obvious.
