My minimap was also only revealed after i had done the instance. This doesn't seem to be the way it was intended, and certainly doesn't tie up with how it's worded.
Since there are several of these all in a row I would think this is working exactly as intended. It's an incremental progression race. The wording however is very confusing and needs to be changed.
No, this can't be the case. If something is "automatically fully revealed" it's not that you have to manually reveal it first.
Beside that, there were two GGG devs in the first race in chat and after so many people were questioning and complaining, they would have directly clarified it, if this really was working as intended.
Well it is how it's working, otherwise something would've been changed for the second race. The wording was extremely poor. But at this point, I'm thinking that the races are going to continue the way they are.
