Blue Screen of Death

Unfortunately its not a mob but our favorite windows error. My memory is not what it used to be so I'm paraphrasing here: "Windows is shutting down to prevent damage to the compueter"

Followed by "fault trying to access memory page in non-mapped area" something similar

Hope that helps

sean
No it doesnt help in any way without further info, you being sure (with prime95 and memtest86+) that your hardware is ok...

Yeeuhh, I'm not going to be running a bunch of tests to prove this error isn't my fault.

I will say I've seen this error 3 times in the last 2 days (I installed POE 2 days ago). I've been running POE and nothing else every time it's occured and it's been years since I've seen a BSOD (can't remember the last time really).
Okay. Then a detailed desc of the bluescreen is still missing.
Not that this forum exists though to solve bluescreens...
To be blunt, I'm not really addressing this to you my fellow beta tester. I'm not looking for "support". This thread is intended for the developers to see beta feedback but if I'm posting in the wrong place then I would be very grateful for a finger pointing in the right direction.

Nevermind, I just saw the "how to report bugs thread". I will go through those channels from now on.

Thanks,
sean

I can't recall ever having a BSOD on this computer before and it happened RIGHT as I went into a portal.
Same Page dump error. This time from zoning into Dark Forest using the Dark Forest zone access point. Did not go through a player made portal.

One thing I just thought of - I started launching the game through Steam. Going to try without it and see if the problems stop.
Do you have a Creative sound card? These are currently causing problems for the game, we've made numerous fixes but some versions of the card can still have problems. This is the most likely cause of a blue screen, unless your drivers are out of date.
