Character names - Beta first choice?

I do enjoy the fact that we have to log in and what not for a secure economy and all that. One thing Im wondering about though is character names. When I went to pick my usual name, it was taken. That got me thinking. When the game is released, our characters will be reset, right? Will Beta players be able to have first choice at names? It would be nice if that would happen. Or have an account name that is used for multiplayer, then individual character names, much like diablo and what not.
