Losing ES

Was playing today, and when I reached the Fairgraves area in HC merciless, my screen froze because I was alt-tabbing as the screen was loading. I exit the game and log back in. When I log back in, I have lost 200 ES.
None of my ES nodes were changed My gear wasn't touched. I used to have 2770 ES without discipline, and ~4000 with Discipline. Now I have 2510 ES w/o discipline and ~3500 with it. One other person on the HC server had this issue today as well. relogging did nothing. "Minions of your minions are your minion's minions, not your minions." - Mark

I was the other person with this issue, had 1650 es before the bug and 1451 after the bug, didnt change any gear or passives related to es. Noticed the change after leaving fetid pool.

alright..about 20 minutes ago i just lost 1.5k es, for some weird reason i have more es in town!!!, when i enter chaos i lose over 1k es, i also asked other players if this was happening and they said they were losing es as well, can anyone shed some light on this? or is this a planned fixation of some sort?

Okay, this sounds weird. Can you guys post screenshots with the character panel and inventory open so we can see this?
Can you also let us know the names of these characters so we can look at them locally? If any of you are feeling mathematical, you could total your ES from each piece of gear that provides it and then your total bonuses and see it the numbers seem to add up, but that's not necessary unless you want to. You will loose ES when going to town if you had the Discipline aura up, but that's pretty clearly not what you're all describing, so I have no idea at yet what's going on. Unfortunately, it's late Friday over here at the moment, so many of us will be going home for the week soon, but we'll get this fixed when we have time to work on it. | |

Hey mark , no probs and thanks for responding quite quickly. My description of what is happening is basically this:
Standing in town i have 7337 ES, when i load into chaos level i somehow have 6114. I previously had a total of 9279 with discipline but this amount is obviously not reached because of the base being deducted somehow upon entering instance, Im a bit unfamiliar with the posting of the screenshots however i do know the command for one lol ;p, my ingame name is GritsnGravy and my acc is ButchersPupil, any other information i will be obliged to provide, thanks. |

" Thanks mark, I tried calculating the stats myself, but I according to my calculations I should have 170k es, so I daresay I'm wrong. Here's my char info and inventory:  If it's too much work, then we can wait until after the weekend. Can you check whether your intelligence changes at the same time?
butcherspupil: Rory tested your character on our servers and this didn't happen - can you think of anything you usually do when entering areas that he might not have done, or anything like that? ciknay: Is your ES changing between town and other areas like butcherspupil reports? Mark i simply entered chaos maelstrom and my es dropped over 1k , if i could be informed as to how to go about transferring/linking the screenshots i will get on that tomorrow at some time if i notice this problem still exists when i log on, as far as i know it doesnt seem to happen going through to any wp instance, it seems dedicated to only a few places from what i have heard being on the server, a few people have also concurred with this change via town to chaos, or fetid, or fields..standing by for further briefings :D

I also lose ES outside town. About 800 with Discipline (4811->4009) or 575 without (3193->2615). Intelligence doesn't change. I checked it with a single item too, a ring with +16 ES, which gave me 71 ES in town and 60 outside.
Also, the loss occured simultaneously with other players, while I was in Maelstrom of Chaos. A moment before I checked and it was 4811 and when others started reporting the loss, I checked again and it was 800 ES less. http://www.last.fm/user/LinchpinPL
