RF+Trap vs perma Minions

Hello exiles,
after having a bigger break (played untill scourge and a bit sentinel) i like to start at sanctum again.

The previous leagues i played different minion and rf builds.
Also trapper, miner, coc and bow builds but i like the rf and minion play style the most.

But i don't have as much time as in the past.
Maybe 2-3h a day. And although i dont know how much currency i could make in this time and with that new/poor loot changes i would ask the following question:


What build will perform better with an budget of 50ex - or 50div i should say nowadays...

1) RF with Fire trap, like phox (inquisitor i know, jugg sounds also cool) but the pob dmg numbers looks so low (1-3m)

2) Minion build with permanent (NO SRS) minions.

Just my opinion.....


RF + Trap will be significtanly tankier.

Minions will have significantly more dps.

What's more important to you?

The fun is important.

But i dont have if my minions are dying over and over again,
or my fire trap isnt able to kill the snake lady or sirus...

dived a bit deeper into the "actual 3.20" pob's

gear stand "ok/good"
-> jugg def looks realy cool, rf+trap=0,7m dps
-> inq def looks ok, rf+trap=1,7m dps

The dmg looks like a very big joke...

-> necro, def better than inq from rf, 5m dps
carrion max hit phys/ele/chaos 75k/100k/100k
and 2k life-reg, 4k es-reg
its too long ago that i can say if this is good or bad.
Lifereg looks a bit low :(

RF Jugg will be significanly better at killing bosses this league due to double cursing with Elemental Weakness and Frostbite.

Those curses will have a x3 effect on ubers next league, a MASSIVE dps buff.

It should be easy to get 3 mill pinacle boss dps with RF Jugg and dual cursing.
And more with investment it will go higher.

And RF Jugg is way way tankier than RF inquisitor (which took a significant nerf, via consecrated ground)

Everything correct and no objections.
The tankiness is on a very high lvl!

But if the boss dps went up from 0,7m to 3m dps, its sill very very poor.
4 years ago 3m dps were good but nowadays its allmost a joke.
