Trickster - Harness The Void and Ignite

Question: Does the harness the void apply to ignites, if an item with Chaos damage can ignite is equipped?

I've been trying to confirm if Harness the void can proc "critical" ignites, with a pair of Replica Volkurrs equipped.

So far, I've been able to confirm that it definitely works for poisons. I used a frostbolt that had base cold damage only to attack a boss. The poison effect was applied and the boss took damage over time.

For ignites, the problem is complicated by the fact that Both sources of Chaos damage can ignite have flat chaos damage on them. However, the damage is relatively minimal, and with the level 45 trickster I used for testing, with the same frostbolt cold damage only setup, I would have expected a procced ignite to do significantly greater ignite damage, such that it should be obvious that a proc has occurred.

It was not. I observed some variance in damage, but not to the extent I would have expected, and within what could be otherwise explained by other variance factors, such as the base ignite range(I was able to elimiate crits as a culprit via geofri's baptism). This observation leads me to question if Harness The Void is applying to ignites at all.

Can somebody with a high level trickster do some testing and double check my findings to eliminate subjective bias? It should be far more readily apparent on a high level character what's going on, but I don't have a high level trickster handy to test with, and I don't want to spend hours leveling one when my initial tests are not promising.

Calculation base of damaging ailments includes converted/extra damage like from Harness The Void.
I am aware of that, hence the initial idea to use it to my advantage to amplify ignite damage. However, Harness the void is only conditionally applied, and furthermore is worded differently to normal Chaos conversion modifiers, specifying hits. I'm looking for confirmation that it behaves the same, backed by testing, rather than just relying on what I would assume to be the case. It should work, but that doesn't mean it actually does.

My own initial testing has me spooked - it appears to work with poisons at least, which is promising. However I'd have expected greater variance between non-procs and procs in my testing with ignites, which could be due to a flaw in my experiment, or bias on my part, since it's very difficult to objectively measure damage output in game. Hence I'm seeking someone to do an independent experiment in a more robust manner.

Maybe that's paranoia, but poe is notorious for having weird quirks about wording.
