For me, RPS.com was the entry gate. Got in the stress test, liked it, so I got a key. And I'll probably upgrade to another pack, wallet allowing.

Couple of my friends got the beta key about 5 months back and started playing fairly actively more recently. Although I planned to invest all my time in Torchlight 2, their description of PoE really intrigued me and I decided to take a look. When the stress test weekend came and I got a chance to try the game for myself, well, I was blown away.

I love the developers, the community, the game, and most of all the potential it has. Can't wait for OB.

I've supported this game, because i believe in GGG. They do have experience with Diablo. For me, i recognize this in so many ways when i play the game.

They're probably having experiences with Diablo...right now...
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

These people deserve my money. When most companies spend their time devising clever and devious ways to leach money from their user-base, GGG finds ways to bring their passion and (clearly) experience with this genre of game to the public for free. They obviously love the game and just in the beta I've enjoyed this game far more than titles I've payed $60 for (and was then forced to buy DLC for to remain compatible with my friends).
Also: Seriously, Blizzard? Online-only? That crap will not fly. My friends don't understand why I make such a big deal of it. I played d2 LAN for so many years, modded and vanilla. I HATE B.net. Last edited by blinddagger95#5903 on May 18, 2012, 5:06:13 PM
