Calling all coc ice nova users

Hello all,

Can someone tell me exactly how the interaction between frostbolt on cospri's and self cast votex works?

Vortex says it destroys the frostbolt, but does that mean it gets rid of the frostbolt's damage?

Vortex seems like it would be a lot less worth using if it completely got rid of frostbolts damage.
