Feedback on Alpha17

I was so excited when Qarl said they deployed the latest patch last night. It's great, especially now that we've been given root access to the server commands and aren't restricted any longer. But that's hardly what I wanted to give feedback on.

These are just my first impressions, but I couldn't believe my eyes when I realized what you guys did.

But I think the kiwi level is going to be too hard for players to find, in its current state. And it's not really rewarding enough. I mean, it took me an hour to find one feather. Needing 69 of them to enter is going to require way too much farming. Only the really hardcore will be able to figure out how to use the recipe to get the map. The mount just isn't worth it. I mean, it's only cosmetic and it seems to be the only purpose of doing the area.

The area is too easy too. The shield charging kiwi aren't that powerful and a bit too slow. They could use a buff. I did run into a haste aura rare that was kind of tough, but it was honestly easier than most 77 maps.

The passive skill tree changes should probbly be pushed to 10.6 as well, they won't be ready at all. I mean really, it's great the +% life passives were rebalanced, but I'm not so sure all the physical damage passives should have been raised by so much. But at least Phase Acrobatics is finally fixed, and there's actually a reason to use dagger+rapier as a duelist now.

I was talking to Invalesco while testing out the changes and he definitely agrees with me. I mean really, buffing CI back up to +50%? It's just going to break it again. Honestly, you should be nerfing CI, +20% more is plenty.

The new staff is also probably way too OP. I mean really, being able to spectre Vaal? It's kind of crazy. Crazy fun, but I don't think the downside justifies being able to keep him around and let him summon up a whole bunch of chaos sniper allies for you. There seems to be a cap of 12 at least, but that's still pushing it.

Still, a lot of great changes, but you should definitely delay the bulk of them, maybe until 11.0 or something (some of these changes are honestly too good for a lot of the whiners in OB). I'll do some number crunching soon and post some more feedback after I test some more.

Turns out that you can spectre the 3-headed kiwi map boss as well. That's just absurdly OP since he just keeps spamming Enfeeble and forking Spark totems.

I'm surprised anubite didn't mention it since it's one of the most important changes, but I'm very glad Avatar of Fire is back in. Still, I'm not sure I agree with its new position in the Ranger area.

I'm disappointed you didn't mention MoC at all. I have it from a reliable inside source that MoC is making its way back "with a unique way to access it through all stages of the game."

TIL I can still read a large wall of text with a line through it.

Kind of sad the way the internet completely inured the world against April Fool's Day.

The longer it is on forum the more beta folks will learn it, actually you can consider majority has already read it, no need to delete anymore :P
