Hmm, OP said his timer usually starts when he actually enters the zone and this time there was no timer at all. Probably a bug then? Increasing the timer wouldn't have any effect if a bug prevents the timer from starting in the first place.

dunno why people ignoring what I have been saying... From what I've noticed and tested, the timer starts about when the music/ambient changes, and you may still be at the loading screen when the music changes. 10 seconds after that, you lose the invulnerability buff. As I said before in the earlier post, in cases of loads over 10 seconds I suggest you dc your internet (so that you leave the zone) if you want to be safe.
