Crash when adding Prophecies
Happens like clockwork. Every time i put in a plague of rats (from stash or inventory) game window closes. Luckily zones are not lost but it happens every time.
Does not crash if i pull a prophecy out then back in. Last edited by Starr77 on Jul 9, 2020, 8:06:47 PM Last bumped on Jul 10, 2020, 5:50:58 PM

" Hello there. Is it specific to plague of rats ? Anyway, if it's systematic, i encourage you to try this. Let us know, cheers. PLEASE QUOTE ME IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A REPLY

It appears to be any prophecy. Ran the test and it came back with no errors.

" Thanks. I have more questions for you. 1) Can you see any error message when the application closes ? 2) Is it a new issue, and if yes, can you remember when it started happening ? 3) Do you experience similar crashes in different contexts ? PLEASE QUOTE ME IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A REPLY

" 1.) no error message the client just closes 2.) Started 2 days ago 3.) no other crashes that i can recall | |
" Thanks. " I suspect the crash is triggered specifically because the prophecy screen isn't loaded when a prophecy is added. Can you try adding a prophecy while the screen is already opened (H key by default, then prophecy tab) ? GGG does its best to monitor crashes, but in the mean time, you can still gather some data by yourself. Ideally, The following are to be performed right after a crash occured : POE log files The default location is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\logs". Don't try to open "Client.txt", but you can open each "Client.WorkerX.txt" file safely, and check the most recent activity (end of file) for something unusual. windows event viewer In the start menu, type "event", and go for something called "Event Viewer". The data you're looking for should be similar to this : PLEASE QUOTE ME IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A REPLY Last edited by xhul on Jul 10, 2020, 6:18:36 PM
