How to make Diablo 3 darker - This is gold

When you say there are glaring issues, you make it sound more like a fact than an opinion.
Actually use http://www.darkd3.com to make Diablo 3 darker. It will still be cartoon-ish but at least you can make the colors a little less flamboyant.

Lack of color =/= dark atmosphere.

The only thing that filter does is wash out the colors so everything is dull.

Are you referring to me? I have never played World of Warcraft. I also don't like Diablo 3 and after playing the Open Beta I have decided not to buy the game. My response was to add a useful post to this useless thread, at least for those who do like Diablo 3 and want to make the colors a little darker.

No, because equating lack of color (or washed out dull greys blacks) to atmosphere is a logical fallacy.

WoW has nothing to do with it. Anyone who brings up WoW as some kind of counter argument has none to make to start with.
