🌟πŸ”₯ EXOSTA πŸ”₯🌟 THE ULTIMATE MF BUILD GUIDE 🏹 πŸ’° πŸ’Ž 6 Versions | Standard | TS/LA/IceShot | 3.10 πŸ’Ž

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> INTRODUCTION <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome Exiles!

I'm Exosta, veteran Standard player, Officer of the IVYS+1 Guild.

This is my Ultimate Magic Find Build Guide for Standard League!

I'm an experienced MF player. In this thread, I show different builds you can play basing on your budget. For in-depth details on my MF build check my MF Academy Discord Server!

----------------- πŸ’° HOW MUCH PROFIT CAN YOU EXPECT BY PLAYING MF? πŸ’° -----------------
The profit you can obtain by playing a MF build will scale dramatically depending on the quality of your gear, and on your farming strategies.

An experienced MF player can easely farm around 20ex per hour when playing Solo.

You can make even more profit if playing with a 6-man party and an Aurabot.

Party members, in fact, increase the Quantity and Rarity of items found, multiplying the Quantity/Rarity values from your gear.

-------------------------- πŸ’° MY STANDARD-ECONOMY LOOT FILTER πŸ’° --------------------------
A great MF Build is useless without a good Loot Filter!

Neversink's Filters are great, but they are mostly focused on Temp Leagues.

I'm an expert MF player and I want to share with you my Standard-Economy Loot Filter.

Check my Loot Filter thread!

PROS
🌟 Item Quantity/Rarity will increase the drop you get, for more profitable farming.
🌟 Fun to play. Loot explosions are exciting and very satisfying
🌟 Very fast build, with supreme Mobility
🌟 Scales very well with investment, can do all content with the right gear
🌟 You can make back the currency invested in the build very fast, planning new upgrades frequently
🌟 Extremely flexible build: you can swap items with non-Quantity gear to improve Life or Damage
🌟 Can do Reflect Maps with Sybil's Lament Ring and Soul of Yugul

CONS
🌟 Can be susceptible to oneshots if your gear is not good enough
🌟 Heavely reliant on Legacy gear and expensive to start with compared to other builds
🌟 Very reliant on Flask charges, especially during Boss fights, so manage them well!
🌟 Headhunter is an important item for the build
🌟 Requires significant currency investement to defeat high-tier Bosses comfortably

Changelog 3.10
- Delirium League introduced Rare Cluster Jewels, Voices and Megalomaniacs, with new powerful Notabales!

🏹 COMPARISON BETWEEN BOW SKILLS

πŸŒͺ️ Tornado Shot (TS)
Tornado Shot was the most popular Skill for MF players until some nerfs.
Imo, Tornado Shot is still the best option for Mirror-Tier MF Builds.

It's a nicely balanced skill: it provides both good pack clearing and high single target damage, making you less reliant on the Barrage Setup.

Tornado Shot fires an arrow to a targeted location. The first arrow doesn't deal any damage, but it will instead explode and split in 3 secondary projectiles. These projectiles are your source of damage. For this reason, Tornado Shot gains incredible value by increasing the number of Arrows you fire (Greater Multiple Projectiles Support Gem, Dying Sun Flask, +1 Arrow Quiver).
Remember that the secondary projectiles expire fast after travelling for a certain distance, so, in order to kill offscreen packs, you have to invest some Passive Skill Points in Projectile Speed.

Tornado Shot can hit enemies in 360°, without the need for aiming. This is great quality of life! Tornado Shot is also the skill that benefits the most from Headhunter buffs and Aurabots, because the damage bonus applies to all of your countless secondary projectiles!

Helmet Enchant: The mandatory helmet enchant for Tornado Shot is "+2 Secondary projectiles", up to a total of 5! Unfortunatly that enchant is now legacy and you can get only +1 Secondary projectiles. That's why many players started using other skills, such as Ice Shot and Lightning Arrow.

❄️ Ice Shot (IS)
Ice Shot has recently emerged as the most popular Skill for MF players.

It's great for pack clearing but it's weaker against single target if compared to other skills. Shuttering is very satisfying!

Ice Shot fires an arrow that converts some physical damage to cold on its target and converts all physical damage to cold in a cone behind that target. It also excels in chilling the targets, slowing them and reducing the odds to get hit.

Helmet Enchant: The best Ice Shot enchant is "60% increased Area of Effect Angle", for even better pack clearing.

⚑ Lightning Arrow (LA)
Lightning Arrow is in my opinion the best choice for non-Mirror-Tier MF builds.

When compared to Ice Shot it has very similar pack clearing but it's way stronger against single target (still less than TS).

Ligthning Arrow fires a charged arrow at the targets, causing them to be struck by a bolt of lightning which damages nearby enemies. It also excels in shocking the targets, resulting in higher damage output.

Helmet Enchant: The best Lightning Arrow enchant is "Lightning Arrow hits 2 additional Enemies", for even better damage output and pack clearing.

🎯 Galvanic Arrow + Barrage Support (GA)
Galvanic Arrow + Barrage Support is the best single target setup for MF builds.

This smart combination of Gems provides very high single target damage as well as some AoE damage.

Galvanic Arrow releases arrows along with a burst of lightning which damages all enemies in a cone. The arrows degrade in-flight as the lightning dissipates, soon vanishing. Combining with Barrage Support, Galvanic Arrow will fire more Projectiles, sequentially.

Helmet Enchant: No enchant recommended for this skill.

🎯 Barrage
Barrage provides slightly more single target damage than Galcanic Arrow, but without any AoE damage.

After a short preparation time, Barrage will shoot arrows sequentially. These attacks have a small randomised spread.

Helmet Enchant: You can consider using a Legacy +2 Barrage Projectiles helmet enchant if you feel you are lacking single target damage. That's especially useful if you are playing Ice Shot or Lightning Arrow, since Helmet Enchantments are not very important for those skills!

🏹 ITEMS

Remember to craft all the Rare Items to cap your Elemental Resistances (75%).
It's important to keep your Resistances capped even without Flasks!

🌟 WEAPON
WINDRIPPER, Imperial Bow

If you can afford it, buy a Legacy version with 25% IIQ and 50% IIR!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MID-BUDGET: HEADHUNTER

Headhunter will turn you in God-Mode, especially in maps with Beyond Monsters. You will get more damage, life/ES and Movement Speed! One of the most important items of the build. Prioritize Life and % increased Damage against Rares.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LOW-BUDGET: BISCO'S LEASH

The Rampage effect will give you a mini-Headhunter effect to increase your mapping speed and fun!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gear-Swap:
If you need to farm hard bosses such as Sirus, you can swap Headhunter with a Stygian Vise Belt.

🌟 FLASKS
DYING SUN

More arrows, more fun! It will also increase the AoE of Galvanic Arrow + Barrage Support.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VESSEL OF VINKTAR

Vessel of Vinktar is our source of Life Leech and a nice way to boost our damage.

If you can afford it, try to get a Legacy Vinktar with Instant Life/Mana Leech. It will provide you with incredible survivability. It was rightfully nerfed: Legacy Vinktar was one of the best items in the game.

Vinktar Variants (in order of damage):
Attack
Penetration
Conversion
Spell

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIAMOND FLASK

Useful to cap our Crit Chance.
Anti-Shock is essential to prevent Vessel of Vinktar from inflicting us with Shock.
Pathfinders don't need Shock Immunity: craft 80% Crit Chance with Bench.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JADE FLASK

The perfect solution to increase the Movement Speed provided by Queen of the Forest.
Anti-Curse is important while mapping, mostly useless against bosses.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUICKSILVER FLASK

We gotta go fast!

🌟 JEWELS
SEARCHING EYE ABYSS JEWELS

Abyss Jewels are one of your most important sources of damage and life.
Remember to get at least one jewel with 8% Chance to get Onslaught on kill.

The jewels above are available for Mirror Service in Exosta's Shop

Prioritize the following mods:
Life
Lightning/Cold Damage
Crit Multi
Attack Speed on Crit
Attack Speed
Crit Chance
Spell

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INSPIRED LEARNING

Mini-Headhunter effect to improve your Mapping experience.
If you can't get a version with Corrupted Blood corruption you will need to add a cheaper Jewel with this corruption!
The ideal location in the tree is in the right side of the tree, close to "Heartseeker" notable.

Corruptions (in order of damage):
Corrupted Blood cannot be inflicted on you
1% Damage Penetration
5% Increased Damage

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WATCHER'S EYE

Watcher's Eye are a great source of damage. Look for Wrath/Precision Mods.

Mods (in order of priority):
+50% to Critical Strike Multiplier while affected by Precision
Damage Penetrates 15% Lightning Resistance while affected by Wrath
60% increased Attack Damage while affected by Precision
15% increased Attack Speed while affected by Precision
60% increased Lightning Damage while affected by Wrath
100% increased Critical Strike Chance while affected by Wrath

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LETHAL PRIDE, TIMELESS JEWEL

A good Lethal Pride Jewel can provide you with % Chance to deal Double Damage.
The ideal location is in the Duelist side of the tree, next to "Golem's Blood" notable.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VOICES

This item is a very powerful unique released during Delirium League.
Voices is worth including only if you can buy a 1 Passive Version, which is very expensive.
You can fill Voices Jewel Sockets with Abyss Jewels or Megalomaniacs (see below).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MEGALOMANIACS/CLUSTER JEWELS

This item is a powerful unique released during Delirium League.
Megalomaniacs will provide you with some extremely useful notables, even if some combinations might be very expensive.

Notables (in order of priority):

Storm Drinker:
- Damage Penetrates 8% Lightning Resistance
- 0,5% of Lightning Damage is leeched as Energy Shield
Headhunter will provide you with tons of ES, but you won't be able to regenerate it, unless you use the useful Storm Drinker notable! You will be basically unkillable if you get enough Headhunter stacks!

Fettle:
- +20 to Maximum Life
- 10% increased Maximum Life
Need more life? This is very similar to "Constitution" Notable. Highly recommended.

Corrosive Elements (LA/IS):
- Ligthning/Cold Skills have a 25% chance to apply Exposure on Hit
If you play either Lightning Arrow or Ice Shot, this notable will increase your damage by a lot, especially against tanky monsters, that can't easely be oneshotted. Totally useless if you play Tornado Shot!

Streamlined (TS):
- 30% increased Projectiles Speed
- 20% increased Projectiles Damage
Tornado Shot needs some investment in Projectile Speed to hit offscreen monsters.

Eye to Eye:
- 35% increased Projectiles Damage against Nearby enemies
- 25% increased Projectiles Damage
Pretty big damage increase, less powerful version of Point Blank Keystone.

Haunting Shout
- Enemies taunted by your Warcries are Intimidated
- 20% increased Cooldown Recovery Speed
Intimidate is a debuff that causes the affected target to take 10% increased attack damage.

Fuel the Fight
- 0,4% of Attack Damage leeched as Mana
- 8% increased Attack Speed
- 20% increased Damage while Leeching
Upgraded version of the Mana Leech passive points, that we were going to select anyway.

There are many more interesting Notables, check all in PoE Database!

🌟 GEM LEVELLING SETUP (Secondary Weapon Swap)
HAKU BOW

Haku Bows provide 6% quality to socketed gems, for a total of 14% quality when paired with the crafted affix.
This Bow is very useful to level up Enlighten, Empower and Enhance gems.
These gems get more XP if they have higher quality!
Here is the PoE Trade Link!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MALONEY'S MECHANISM

Obvious choice here. More sockets = More gems that we can level up.

🏹 GEM LINKS

πŸ’Ž CLEARING SETUP (Tornado Shot/Ice Shot/Lightning Arrow)
MAIN 4 LINK

Awakened Gems are expensive, choose normal Gems if you are on a budget.

5TH LINK

Choose Inspiration if you feel you lack damage, otherwise go Mirage Archer for more clear.
If you want to go extreme with MF you can use Item Rarity (you might lack some damage).

6TH LINK

Item Quantity Support Gem is the obvious choice here. It's a Legacy gem, quite expensive.
If you can't afford it, go for more damage or Item Rarity Support Gem.
If you feel you are lacking damage you can also use Damage on Full Life or Mirage Archer

πŸ’Ž SINGLE TARGET SETUP (Galvanic Arrow + Barrage Support)

Awakened Gems are expensive, choose normal Gems if you are on a budget.

πŸ’Ž MOBILITY SETUP (Dash & Phase Run)

With this gems combination Dash will be extremely smooth and satisfying to use.
Especially if paired with "Fleetfoot" passive notable, the cooldown recover will be extremely fast.

πŸ’Ž HERALD OF ICE & CURSE SETUP

You can use Awakened Curse on Hit Support with 2 curses for more damage output, but remember that Herald of Ice explosions don't get the Item Quantity Support Gem bonus from your main skill setup. If you don't want to miss that extra quantity, you should add an other Item Quantity Support Gem in this setup.

πŸ’Ž AURAS (Wrath & Precision)

If your helmet is multimodded, you can add a +1 to AoE Gems and place your Auras inside.
Rallying Cry is severely underrated and it can provide a good damage increase, especially if paired with some Cluster Jewels Notables, such as "Haunting Shout".

🏹 PANTHEON
SOUL OF THE LUNARIS + SOUL OF GARUKHAN if you want more Movement Speed
SOUL OF THE BRINE KING against STUNS and CHILL
SOUL OF YUGUL for reflect maps

🏹 MAP MODS
We can do pretty much all Map mods with the right gear swaps:

Reflect: Choose Soul of Yugul in the Pantheon and replace one ring with Sibyl's Lament

Cannot Leech: Swap Vessel of Vinktar with Divination Distillate.

You can do 80% Delirious Maps with ease without any gear swap. For 100% delirious maps you need to drop Windripper and item quantity support gem.
