[3.24] The Pestilent Viper 🐍 New video : The Viper (improved) & The Mamba (saved from nerfs !)

Wow I'm glad I bought that shield last week! 50 div would be out of reach for me for the amount of time i can play. Here is what I've got going, I've been experimenting with this and that. Right now I'm wearing a Perfect Form to be able to include Arctic Armour for a little more protection. Since it has Acrobatics I've used spell suppression stats to get the spell dodge up to 75%. I'm wearing a Doredre ring for a third curse, so I can use Alchemist's mark with Mark on Hit. I grabbed the mark cluster to boost that a bit and gain culling strike. Here is my Witch currently:

Do you think Alchemist's Mark is good ? Does the caustic pool deal good dmg ?

Using Spectral Helix works very well with Poison, and Plague Bearer carries mapping hard. With that, it maps really well, single target is good until Pinnacle bosses and such.

Alpha's Howl allows you to get Grace + Malevolence + HoAG + Defiance + PoF.

Evasion with Grace + Suppression + Physical Damage taken as Fire from Lethal Pride makes you surprisingly tanky. This also makes it easy to recover ES with Ghost Dance + some ES on kill.

Vaal Disc lets you regen life whenever needed.

Things to improve are, getting Boots with Onslaught or Tailwind. Helmet with reservation from Essence/Implicit. Gloves with good implicits (Chaos Dot Multi and such). Belt with Chaos Damage. Alt Quality gems. And better Weapon (Damage Over Time Multi with Veiled Chaos/Aisling).

Lastly, I wouldn't use Pestilent/Viper without +1/2 Strike Gloves. If you get that, it might work pretty well, and has higher potential single target.

Overall, very fun build, fun to improve and figure out, you can run tier 16 with basically any mods, Delirium mirror and such. However, just like the guide says, you'll run into a brick wall at highly juiced tier 16 or Pinnacle bosses.

Oh also, if you're using Apep's + Maw because of the price surge on Mahuxotl's don't use Divine Flesh/Tempered by War. And with that much ES, Grace + Ghost Dance become really strong.

I'm not sure about the actual damage numbers but it feels like it adds a pretty good amount of damage against rarest and bosses.

@Nizreb Lol glad to hear you got the shield before the housing market crashed! I also think that alchemist potion is great for single target damage especially for when they stand still.

I actually went down a different path for defense and pathed my skill tree to get to Whispers of Doom for an additional curse. I could have anointed it but I need some int anyways so it worked out. I use Enfeeble as my third curse and have Despair from Witchfire's Brew (or when bossing I use alchemist mark).

I still get one shot but generally survive more lol. It's my own fault really cuz I just need to shop for better rings with higher hp. Super fun stuff!

Mahuxotl's prices have lowered a bit in league : 35 divines, down from 50 four days ago.
Let's hope they continue to go down as the craze wanes.

Pretty great at popping screens, and my temporal chains/blasphemy is huge. Also want to say that I think that Arctic Armour is contributing well to my survivibility, as it reduces both fire and physical damage.

I don't really get your build. In detailed gearing you talk about a weapon and then link a helmet. Seeing the gloves you use but detailing some different gloves. Then you talk about items you need (like reflecting poisons back to you and being immune to them) but don't use them in your pob links.

So how does this build work and what am I supposed to read in the first post to learn how it works since it seems like some of the information there is outdated.

Follow the the Path of Building links updated for 3.19 near the top of their post. Also helpful is reading through the thread to see how the build has changed over different leagues and why those changes were made.

I also find it helpful to look at the POBs of people who are participating in the thread during the current league.
