no way to connect from steam poe to microsoft poe account

says in the steam version i can link to an already existing account, but when i click the link it just sends me to the website without any indication on how to actually link these things. ive signed in to my poe account using my microsoft account but that does nothing to log me in, in the game. i rather play with the steam version than the microsoft one on my computer.

" Sorry but what you are trying to do is NOT possible. The reason for this is this --> PC (including steam), XBox and PSN are 3 seperat versions of the game and you CAN'T transfere or migrate anything between them. |

HanSoloDK is correct. Unfortunately the PC and console realms of Path of Exile are entirely separate so a Xbox Path of Exile account can't be linked to Steam. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
