Season One, Race Event 82: 1 Hour Lethal Party

Top Prizes:

The overall top player by experience will receive 3 Reward Points.

The top 20 players of each class by experience will receive:
  • #1 player of each class: Demigod's Triumph (Unique Golden Wreath) and 10 Reward Points
  • #2 player of each class: 6 Reward Points
  • #3 player of each class: 5 Reward Points
  • #4 player of each class: 4 Reward Points
  • #5 player of each class: 3 Reward Points
  • #6-10 player of each class: 2 Reward Points
  • #11-20 player of each class: 1 Reward Point


Prizes for reaching specific levels and staying alive:
  • Level 20: 7 Reward Points
  • Level 17-19: 6 Reward Points
  • Level 15-16: 5 Reward Points
  • Level 13-14: 4 Reward Points
  • Level 11-12: 3 Reward Points
  • Level 8-10: 1 Reward Point


Quest Prizes:
The first player to complete each of these quests wins the prize listed.

  • Normal difficulty Hillock (Twilight Strand): 2 Reward Points
  • Normal difficulty Medicine Chest (Tidal Island): 2 Reward Points
  • Normal difficulty Fairgraves (Ship Graveyard): 2 Reward Points
  • Normal difficulty Deep Dweller (Flooded Depths): 2 Reward Points
  • Cruel difficulty Hillock (Twilight Strand): 2 Reward Points
  • Cruel difficulty Medicine Chest (Tidal Island): 2 Reward Points
  • Cruel difficulty Fairgraves (Ship Graveyard): 2 Reward Points
  • Cruel difficulty Deep Dweller (Flooded Depths): 2 Reward Points


Full-clear Prizes:
The first player to kill all of the monsters in any of the following areas will receive:

This is going to be ridiculous, might as well make it a solo race, because in parties people WILL die. and who's gonna be the marauder/duelist/templar/shadow in these, because a certain amount of luck is going to be needed to beat hillock.

I suppose it'll be an interesting challenge to say the least to have a full party survive all the way until the end ;D

would be a lot more interesting if rewards were actually party based rather than based on individual performance (your class and your rank)

party based rewards could also lead to more interesting compositions such as a full marauder party rather than 1 of each class.

And lethal

::

50% increased monster damage

50% of damage dealt extra as fire
50% of damage dealt extra as cold
50% of damage dealt extra as lightning

The latter 3 can be considered as 'more damage' this effectively means a 275% increase in damage (50 + 3*(50+50/2))

Besides, each mob can freeze shock and burn at the same time, which means you will generally die if you get hit even once on the early levels

Worse than that, I'm afraid:
The 50% physical damage puts us at 150%, or 1.5.
+50% of each of three resistances is +150%, or 250% total, or 2.5
1.5 * 2.5 = 3.75, so mobs do almost 4x damage until you get resistances.

On the last (first) Lethal, I went thru 3 characters and then basically "leveled up" on the Terraces.... to level 4! Wow..., think Season 2 will have better rewards (for lame players like me!) :-P
